Brown has RM66 and Tom has RM30. How much money must Brown give to Tom so that the ratio of Brown’s money to Tom’s money is 7 : 5?

### Answer with solution:

### Total amount of money Brown and Tom has

### = RM66 + RM30

### = RM96

### 12 units → RM96

### 1 unit → RM96 ÷ 12

### = RM8

### 7 units → 7 x RM8

### = RM56

### Brown must give Tom = RM66 - RM56

### = RM10

### Brown must give Tom RM10 so that the ratio of Brown’s money to Tom’s money is 7 : 5.
